is a team of female physicians committed to providing high quality, safe, and compassionate care to you and your baby
Alana has been manning the front desk since 2014 and has become the clinic’s “Spock”. Alana graduated from SFU with a Bachelor’s of Science in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. After working in both a lab and clinic setting, at the BC Cancer Research Centre, she decided to become more involved serving patients directly and found her way to LGMC. She loves gaming (with and against her husband) and travelling, often combining the two to attend various conventions. Other hobbies include badminton, watching movies and hanging with her fur babies.
Dr. Campbell grew up on the North Shore and then moved away for post secondary education. She did her undergraduate degree at Queens and then hopped across the ocean to do her Masters at the University of Edinburgh and Medical School in Ireland. She then completed her residency in Ottawa before returning home. She has two young boys.
Dr. Glen (she/her) grew up in Vancouver. She attended the University of Victoria for her Kinesiology undergraduate degree then came back to Vancouver to attend UBC Medical School. She did her residency training in Chilliwack before moving to North Vancouver to start her career in 2014. She joined the maternity clinic in 2017 and feels privileged to work with such a wonderful team bringing new life into this world. She also works as a family practice locum in Lynn Valley. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time in the North Shore mountains and forests with her two young kids.
Nikki is the newest member of our team and is a great asset to our clinic, she brings over 15 years experience as a medical office assistant on the North Shore. When she is not playing ball, camping or just enjoying the outdoors, you can find her cooking a gourmet meal with her boyfriend or cuddling her cats “Bill & Ted” while sipping fine wine.
Dr. Cameron grew up in Ontario and moved west to attend University of Calgary for medical school then UBC in Prince George for residency. She had a family practice (which included maternity care) in Prince George for 5 years, then moved to Squamish with her husband and 3 young kids in 2014. She joined the Lions Gate Maternity Clinic in 2016 and has very much enjoyed being part of the team! She also works as a family practice locum in Squamish and in her free time enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.
Dr. Hao (she/her) was born in Toronto and moved to Vancouver at the age of 7. She grew up in East Vancouver, and completed her medical degree at UBC. She then moved to North Vancouver to complete her residency training and has been practicing Maternity care at Lions Gate Hospital ever since. Dr. Hao has also provided locum Maternity care services at BC Women’s Hospital, Richmond Hospital, and in the Northwest Territories; she enjoys the breadth of Family Medicine which allows her to have such variety in her work. She is fluent in English and Mandarin-Chinese. Outside of work, Dr. Hao enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors with her hypothyroid dog, Coco, cooking experiments in the kitchen, and amateur home decor projects.
Dr Hlynsky was born at LGH and grew up on the North Shore. She attended UBC for her Human Kinetics and Medical Degrees then spent the early part of her career practicing in Rural areas of BC. After giving birth to her second child in 2015, she joined the Lions Gate Maternity clinic and has been thrilled to be part of such a great team. Outside of her passion for delivering babies, she likes to spend time running up mountains, skiing, biking and chasing after her kids.
Dr Elaine Galt joined LGMC in 2003 and did her own referral obstetrics prior to that. She also works in a group family practice at Mount Seymour Medical Clinic. Dr Galt herself was born at Lions Gate Hospital. She attended UBC for both her undergraduate and medical degrees and interned at LGH. She is married with two adult sons.
Dr Lawson arrived in BC from eastern Canada in the late 70’s. She did her medical training at UBC and St Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver. After 10 years of solo Family practice with its 24/7 obstetrical call, the team care model at LGMC allowed her to transition to a more family friendly focus on Maternity /Newborn care. As an empty nester she now divides her time between LGMC, surgical assisting, hiking/biking and walking her two “terrible terriers” on the North Shore mountains.
